Greetings From Virginia, Co Cavan
It’s a beautiful fresh Autumn morning and I think I’ll go for a stroll into town. The air is crisp and the sun is sparkling through the trees as I meander down the Church grounds walking towards the square. Traffic is light as I cross over towards the Mason’s Apron for hot frothy latte and a delicious melt in your mouth apple pastry. Friendly faces invite me in for an extra glimpse at all the tasty goodies, do I go for a slice of red velvet cake….? (It’s still too early) I take a seat outside to enjoy people watching while the bustling town comes to life. After my treats, I walk down main street and browse the windows of all the beautiful businesses which add to the unique charm of this friendly town. As I pass by T. Arnold & Sons, I glance in the open doorway and look over all the enchanting treasures and give Ray a big friendly smile! As I continue my walk, I decide to head on down to the lake shore and take in the beautiful views. The misty fog has cleared and I see two fisherman headed out with great ambitions for a picturesque afternoon of fishing on Lough Ramor. I decide to head into the forest to breath in the majesty of this late September day, looking up as the sun dances across the tree tops. When I finish up my walk and head back towards town, the warm sunshine inspires me for one quick stop in to Eddie’s for a 99 as I head back home.
I am so grateful for this beautiful town and wish you were here!
