Ramor Theatre opened to the public in September 1999 and since then it has been a part of the cultural and artistic life in County Cavan being the only professional performance space in the county. Its aim is to nurture an interest in the performing arts in the county and present a varied programme of performances by professional artists in all the art forms as well as encouraging international acts and individuals to perform at the theatre.
It also facilitates the development of youth arts including youth drama as well as engaging in an educational programme. It is home to Livin’ Dred Theatre Company which produces professional work at the venue and a member of the NOMAD network of venues.
The theatre also engages in community-based and amateur work through Ramor Players who present a number of shows each year.
The Theatre is a Local authority-run venue that is assisted by funding from the Arts Council. If you have not been to the Ramor yet please call in and see us soon or better still come and see a show.
